iDosing.....

I guess maybe I've been a little slow in the news as of late, but I came across an article the other day that made me stop and look further into it.

iDosing the latest in the line of drugs called "Digital drugs" or the Free "Digital" way to get high. This has become more and more mainstream sense the middle of last year..... Like I said, I'm a little behind..... are using what is call Binaural Beats to, what they think, it altering brain activity in a way that hardcore drugs do, but without the needles and smoke. Some news sources and administrators are calling this a "Gateway" drug for to get into hardcore drugs.

Now Binural sounds are not new. They have been around sense 1839 when they were discovered by Heinrich Wilhelm Dove a Physicists. It was studied and found that by playing 2 different Hz or Frequencies of sound waves in each ear, for example 300 Hz in the right ear and 330 Hz in the left ear, this then causes a binural frequency is 30 Hz induced upon the brain. Different frequencies could help induce relaxation, meditation, creativity and other desirable mental states. Now no claims have been fully proven as to what they can do.

There have been a number of claims regarding binaural beats, among them that they may simulate the effect of recreational drugs, help people memorize and learn, stop smoking, help dieting, tackle erectile dysfunction and improve athletic performance. Scientific research into binaural beats is very limited. No conclusive studies have been released to support these wilder claims. In absence of positive evidence for a specific effect, however, claimed effects may be attributed to the power of suggestion (the placebo effect).

I could tell you by playing 2 Johny Cash tracks at the same time while blasting them in your ears blindfolded you would smell cigarettes and Jack Daniels in the air. Then while you listened to it light a cigarette and splash some Jack around and you're gonna tell everyone that you can smell it when they do it. Then everyone else will be smelling cigarettes and Jack in the air when they try it. The power of suggestion.

Just like all TV advertising, the power of suggestion makes us believe more then there is to actually believe. Even more so with teenagers and college students telling someone to blast ungodly sounds into their ears at top volume with a blindfold on for 20 minutes telling them that Sounds will be different and that they will hear colors and taste sounds. Well SURE Let me do this..... Minute 5: Chest still clear of dancing demons. Minute 10: Insomnia must not be one of Hades tortures. Minute 15: Remember to buy skim milk at grocery store tonight. Assuming Satan doesn't appear.

I post this for the main reason to educate. Just in case you don't know about this, and I know many of you out there that follow me do have , work with , or have friends with in the impressionable age, now you to can go out and educate them to this phony phenomenon the "Works on everyone". The only way this will "Work" is by putting your weed into you iPod and then listening to it

Ok is this BS or is this really true? Because this is the first time I've ever heard of using sound to get high. Ok my geek side based for knowledge is intrigued by this...

Anyway, this for real?

I know that I'm known for playing jokes, but this is for real. Search Youtube for videos of kids doing this. they look like they are more in pain then anything. And yes, my geek side came out. I got out my old books on sound waves, and the math adds up, it's the psychological side that is the BS part. Every person is different, there fore this will not work on everyone and have different effects on everyone
