Report the issue of FAKE profiles on the Site Support blog If you've found yourself reading this then the chances are you're as fed up as the rest of us that we the paying members are being ripped off and taken for mugs by the management/owners of this site, who allow an open house to scammers to create fake profiles and upload fake pictures without any checks or reviews. At best Affairlook are negligent, complacent and dis-interested over the issue of FAKES, and at worst Affairlook are colluding with the scammers and making money off the back of them. Its time that the paying members made their feelings felt and gave the site owners/managers something to think about. 1) Stop reporting FAKE profiles. It doesnt help. As soon as Affairlook delete the profile another springs up. Also why should we be doing their job? A much better tactic is to post comments such as "FAKE" on any fake profiles you come across. This can be done on photos, updates, accepted friends invites etc. Anywhere it allows you to write a comment. 2) Post feedback/complaints/questions on the Site Support blog's Customer Feedback and Suggestions page. Here is a link to the Site Support Blog. Tell them how many fake profiles there are on your "My New Matches" every day. Ask why there are so many fake profles and why Affairlook are allowing them to be created? Ask why there arent proper IP address checks so members can see that Linda in London was actually created by someone in Ghana/Nigeria. Ask why we should continue paying for a site full of fake profiles and why Affairlook continue to claim that there are X million of users on the site when 99% of profiles are fake. And dont accept their standard "we apologise for the inconvenience" response that they'll give you. When commenting on photos on FAKE profiles leave comments such as "Complain to Site Support about the amount of FAKE profile". Anything to spread the word and disrupt what Affairlook consider as being normal operation of the site. 3) I also urge you to post your frustration about the FAKE profile issue on this post on the Affairlook is listening blog as Affairlook seem to think that redesigning the site is of more importance than sorting out the issue of FAKE profiles. The more people that complain the more the management/owners will have to take notice. Do nothing and i can guarentee you that nothing will change as Affairlook have proved time after time that they dont give a stuff about paying members once they've got their hands on your hard earned money. |

If you actually spent time reading the Affairlook Live group- you would see that the issue of Fraud accounts TRUMPS all the other issues on the site And that they are reporting that they are working on the issues, designing new parameters for reviewing potential fake profiles, and also are looking for suggestions And- you will also see that there are country wide blocks on problem countries, Ghana being one of those. Check out the Browse page, then scroll down to Browse by Country and you will see there are over 70,000 legitimate profiles of Ghanain users. How can they exist if there is a country wide block on Ghana? I've been on this site for 5 years and the problem of fake profiles has grown and grown so dont talk to me about they are "designing new parameters for reviewing potential fake profiles". You ought to create a male profile on here and see the shit we have to put up with that this site presents to us as genuine.

Speaking of the UK for certain, and from what I understand in the USA too, and Australia, and New Zealand.... it's a problem of epidemic, pandemic in fact, proportions and it is getting worse. It is entirely possible to effectively police this site.... they choose not to !!! At best they are completely incompetent and couldn't care less... at worst they create fake profiles and turn a blind eye to others in order to make the site look more attractive to guys to entice them to join/go gold, misrepresentation/fraud call it what you like. I know what I think, I leave it for sane intelligent people to make up their own minds. Join the campaign ! Complain to A Fake Finder ! Let them know what you think ! You are paying customers and are entitled to expect reasonable service for your fees ! Anyone that knows me I would ask as a personal favour if you would do your bit, complain and spread the word about this campaign, it will take very little of your time ! FIGHT THE FAKES FRAUDS AND SCAMMERS !!!

These are the most prevalent fakes in the UK - scrambled characters followed by two digits. We can all spot them a mile off but they clog up the site, interfer with searches and artificially inflate numbers. Affairlook does nothing about these fakes, even if they are reported. I've given up telling them about the problem because they won't accept that it exists.

I've complained on the Affairlook community blog, and also in the Live from Affairlook group that domino mentioned. Lets just wait and see if we actually get a straight answer?.
