Indie & Hiatus
Indie & Hiatus After the next entry, this blog will be on hiatus until your friendly author returns from a business trip to Indianapolis. We should be back sometime next week with the usual mix of music, football, voyeuristic noodlings and memoirs. Please feel free to leave your suggestions here. We do play requests for those who are patient. Later today, we will leave you with this month’s profile photo gallery to tide you over. Have a great weekend! © ♪rockwriter58♪ (This entry NEVER appeared on the main blogboard due to a morning blogjam on Oct. 7, but this author chose not to repost.) |

>>>Thanks to all the well-wishers. >>>[blog TomEboy10]... I did not get to St. Elmo’s but I did take note it looks like a spot for a future stop. I was working the past four days and really only had one night to do any exploring at all. So I didn’t hit the Slippery Noodle either. Too bad. I did go to Shula’s. Yes, we have one in the DC area but I have never had the chance to go. I have always wanted to try it because not only is the spot consistently rated as one of the best steak restaurants in the U.S., but my Dolphins’ roots had me curious. Now I have to try the DC spot. I will also say that for some reason St. Elmo’s made me think of St. Alfonzo’s Pancake Breakfast. I think that would be a great name for a breakfast spot: St. Alfonzo’s. (No one won the coupon this week, again.) >>>Lil... good to see you back in this neighborhood. Yes, it is likely our paths may have crossed. What coincidence. Glad you are back from your trip with a smile on your face. {=} >>>Saddletramp... now you have me thinking of several items: almost all of which make me smile. Oh yes, I would definitely come out of retirement for a ride with you... and I hope it would be a long rough one too. Then there is the thought, why not chuck it, and go to Canada permanently like some of my friends have discussed? Covering Canadian football would be a great time, and then there are the fringe benefits to consider. My only frown is the improbability of a visit. It has been 17 years since my last trip to Saskatchewan, and that came by accident: an unexpected stop by Air Canada while I was on my way to Calgary on business. Oh, well. {=} >>>HH... thanks for your thoughts but no rush. We know you have other matters on your mind right now. The Beatles can wait a bit. We will smile when we see it arrive. {=} >>>GOTD, CNC, Keith & JSNG... thanks. I am now back safe... we are never sure about sound, however.
