Thanks, and I try my best THough my best friend informed me I need to get over my fear of hurting them and bang them loud and proud. Well: when my neighbor isn't home, just in case lol

These are beautiful, Kitten! Bang my drum slowly, would you? I really like it soft and slow.

"So Bang the drum slowly, and play the fife lowly, I bitterly wept as they slowly walked by"

Not sure if you were referencing the old cowboy song or not, but... now I have to go dig out he CD.

Soft and slow is wonderful, but a good fast rhythm is exciting.

did that cat photo bomb the doumbek? the colors are amazing on the first one

je ne regrette rien

demonicsexkitten replies on 3/22/2015 10:09 am:
I think she'd have to be facing the camera for it to be a true "photo bomb" lol. On the other hand she does love getting in the way.

And that's really the reason I bought this one... fell in love with the colors and painting (though I would have just gazed at it and never bought except the seller of a black doumbek I'd just purchased returned my money and I was fed up)

Very cool!! I hope you are having a good time playing them and getting to know how each one is different.

A little bit Actually I'm getting quite comfortable with the djembe... both playing it as a djembe and as a doumbek.

Thanks for the drum pics and the feline bonus.

I'm also wowed by the technicolor. The solid black with reflecting skin has its own charm in its simplicity.

demonicsexkitten replies on 3/24/2015 6:05 am:
The original black one I'd purchased (prior to my money being returned yet again) was just a solid shiny black paint which in itself reflected. I'm still not a fan of the vinyl covering on this one.
